Snow Closures

NECTD is committed to safety. If there is snow, we follow the following policy:

  • If the Town of Killingly cancels school -- NECTD is cancelled that day
  • If the Town of Killingly delays school (by whatever time) -- NECTD is delayed one hour

Cancellation/Delay announcements are made on WINY (am 1350) and local television stations. If weather conditions necessitate the early closure of NECTD announcements will be made in the same manner that delays/cancelations are made. Every effort will be made to return customers and not leave anyone stranded.

Holiday Closures

NECTD is closed on the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Martin Luther King Day
  • President’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Good Friday
  • Fourth of July
  • Labor Day
  • Columbus Day
  • Veteran’s Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Day After Thanksgiving
  • Christmas
